The Fairy and the Mermaid

Everyone is feeling better from their recent sickness and we enjoyed our first Mother's Day as a family. The girl's gave Mama a canvas print (as seen below), a plant for the deck and a movie she's been wanting. All in all it was a pleasant and relaxing day.

Both girls are still having trouble deciding on a formula they prefer. They will each do fine for two to three days and then begin getting gassy and fussy from the formula. We've tried all kinds of formula and all have met with this same result. Dr. Young advised for the time being to rotate the formulas out every three to four days and see how they tolerate it before we move to more drastic measures such as soy types of formula. Aside from the formula, both are breast feeding much better than ever before.

Since our last update, Developmental Services has returned and spent another couple hours with the girls. They remain developmentally almost exactly between their actual age of four and half months and their adjusted age (from due date to present) of one and half months. This is a good sign. Cora and Hazel are becoming much more vocal with their coos and their movement tracking with eyes is great. Both are beginning to reach for things and Hazel even seems to be trying to talk to some of the toys dangling from her swing and bouncy seat.
