It has been a while since the last update. Mama misplaced the camera. It was found yesterday! Massive picture taking ensued.

Our household has gotten into a routine. The girls will sleep for 3-5 hours at a time. Mama and Papa enjoy the five hour stretches. It gives us time to eat and rest. Both girls are on milk and formula. They are going through a growth spurt. Thus, they are eating everything and large quantities of it! All the milk stored in the deep freeze is being quickly consumed. We are now down to enough milk for another three days. To make the transition easier, each girl receives 2-3 ounces of milk, then 2-3 ounces of formula. After trying different types, we believe we finally found one the girls tolerate.

Auntie Amy and Uncle Richard tied the knot last week. The girls went to Charlotte to visit the newly weds but did not attend any events. They are still too young and little to play in crowds. Grammaw stayed with the girls in Richard's domain, "The Man Cave". They always enjoy cuddle time with Grammaw. Grandma the Great and Granny created special dresses for the girls to wear during the wedding preparations. They are purple and sparkle. The collar has a detail made by the girl's Great Great Grandma many years ago. Grandma the Great has been saving the tatting to use on something special. The girls are appreciative and promise to take good care of such a special gift.

Next week is another big week. The girls get to take their first trip to Manteo to meet Papa's side of the family. It is a long trip but the girls have assured their parents they are ready for the journey. Next Saturday is the March of Dimes walk there. The team, Forever Hope, will be walking in honor of Cora and Hazel. It will be a full and exciting weekend.

Cora continues to grow one to one and a half ounces a day. She looks huge in comparison to when she was born. Over the last week she has become more alert and responsive. She will now look at you, follow objects, and she is beginning to coo. The last week has shown great progress.

Hazel has not had a brady in over two weeks. We are hoping the monitor will be coming off soon. Hazel does not seem to mind it much. She is sill sleeping through the alarms. Mama and Papa are glad the technology was available for Hazel but we are also ready for it to go away. We feel she does not need it any more.

The last official weights were taken over a week ago. At that time, Cora was 7 lbs. 9 oz. Hazel was 6 lbs. 10 oz. Since then we believe Cora has reached the 8 pound mark and Hazel has reached the 7 pound mark. Both girls are growing everyday.

  2. Well hello my sweet little precious nieces! You look absolutely stunning in your fancy dresses, just as I knew you would! :) Your Granny and Great Grandma worked hard on those dresses to get them done on time for the wedding. They are so very special!

I cannot wait to see you again. Your uncle Richard and I got back last night from our honeymoon. It was a long trip but we had a great time! We have many pictures and stories to share. We will tell you all about it in a couple weeks when we come visit. We will give you your presents then too! We know you will love them! :)

We love you very much, stay healthy and strong!
