Both girls are now off the ventilator, however Hazel is still using a C-pap. Thankfully, the small PDA (heart flap) that Cora had closed on it's own and no medicine or surgery will be necessary. Cora seems to be struggling more with the high bilirubin (Jaundice) than Hazel, although both of them are currently off the phototherapy lights. The two of them are enjoying the breast milk being gavage fed to them (tube down to the tummy) and are even moving their mouths from time to time like their wanting to find the nipple. In other epic news, they are going poo regularly now, a fact that the nurses always seem to get very excited about. Thus do we as well, if it means they're improving.
