33 weeks today!
After a weekend spent missing the girls, we were able to see them today! Both girls have grown. Cora weighs 3 lbs., Hazel 2 lbs. 6 ozs. They are still doing well with their feedings. Hazel had extra protein added to her milk and her feeding times have increased. We should be able to start the girls eating from a bottle in the next week or two. We were able to do kangaroo care with both girls. The plan is to start it three to four times a day, depending on how they are doing. Cora pooed on the nurse (again) and Hazel stayed true to her reputation of not being able to stay in bed. The nurse forgave Cora and swaddled Hazel tightly before placing her back in her isolette. After kangaroo care both girls calmed down, settling into their beds for the night. Overall, it was a quiet day. We look forward to more of those in the future.
Good Job, Girls. Grandmaw is proud of you. You just missed Mama, and she missed you more than you know. Hazel keep on gaining, and stay in your bed. Hazel was just looking for her Mamma & Papa. That was the longest time she has been without you or Mike being there sometime during the day. Love & miss you all.

Happy 33 weeks Birthday Cora & Hazel!!!! Aunt Mel, Uncle Ryan, and your cousins - Natalie & Rylie can't WAIT to meet you. You both are such beautiful miracles from God. We love you so very much and really hope to see you soon. Keep gaining the weight and making such excellent progress each day, but get lots of rest too - once you're strong enough you'll want to go explore everything yuo can.

If you're both good and keep doing what you're supposed to, I'll let you stay up past bed time and watch Sex and the City...only when you visit of course. But shhhhh....don't tell mom and dad! :)
