Cora had a busy day today, visiting with Gramaw and Pawpaw first thing. They were in town to see Uncle Joel play baseball. She was awake and alert for them when visiting this morning but was sleepy tired this evening when they came back with Uncle Joel. At least Uncle Joel got to see her and hold her. Otherwise, she continues to do well without any formula mixed in with her feedings and loves to swing after each meal. Later in the evening, she got a fun visit from Granny as well. Granny, Cora and Mama spent the evening looking at Auntie Amy's wedding portraits that were taken today. Last but not least, she enjoyed reading time before bed. She always looks forward to reading time with Mama each night.
Mama was able to squeeze in some visit time with Hazel this morning. Later in the day, Papa, Uncle Joel, Gramaw and Pawpaw all stopped by in the afternoon to visit with her after Uncle Joel's baseball game. Everyone got a chance to hold her but she was content to stay sleepy and grumpy throughout the visit. She had a few brady's throughout the day, all associated with feeding time. She is already on Prilosec to help with her extreme acid reflux, next they plan on adding small amounts of rice cereal to her milk to thicken it up. By thickening it up, it is hoped that she won't gulp it down so quickly, plus the thicker consistency won't rise up her throat as easily either. This will start tomorrow.
