Today Hazel improved some. The change in eye drops seemed to have been of benefit and her swelling has diminished. All her feedings at present are via gavage (tube) but the nurses have to option to bottle feed should she show any interest. Her color has improved and, while some blood work is still out, it was determined for a fact that she didn't have a cold of any type. Hazel's tiny vessels keep blowing after a while with each IV so they've had to do yet another one today. Her best medicine today was a visit from Mama. She got to be held for almost two hours from Mama and it calmed her greatly. The drainage is less which is good for the bradys, although they still remain a prominent concern.
Cora had a busy day as well. Mama was seeing Hazel at the hospital, along with attending some events related to Auntie Amy's upcoming wedding. That means Papa got to play all day. They had tummy time three times today, one being in her crib. Tummy time is helping Cora build up those neck muscles so she can lift her head. Once this happens, the slender look to her head will gradually become more round. We also went for a short walk around the yard and took some naps too. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
Yay Hazel!!!!! Your eyes look so much better! Keep improving and you'll be home walking around the yard with sissy, mama & papa too! love you all!!!
